The systems and components best suited for any marina or dock will vary depending upon the site conditions and the client’s requirements. MSI offers three types of systems to meet our client’s needs. These systems can be described as heavy, medium and light weight systems using concrete, aluminium or HDPE as their main components.
Concrete Systems
Concrete pontoons are the heavy weight champs when it comes to marina construction. Combining high strength and durability with exceptional stability and minimal maintenance these pontoons are often the best choice where conditions are the roughest and stability paramount. Because of their weight and size they are ideally produced at or near the marina site in one of our portable factories. Our versatile concrete systems are the best all round choice for commercial applications, yacht clubs and residential marinas.
Aluminium Frame Systems
Constructed from marine grade aluminium frames with either Concrete or PE floats and decked with wood or composite materials our medium weight systems are robust and aesthetically pleasing. Ideally suited for better protected locations and capable of being easily transported for on site assembly, our aluminium systems are a good choice for yacht clubs, hotels and private docks were quality and appearance are important.
HDPE Modular Systems
Where versatility and flexibility are important our Versadock® floats are the ideal choice for our clients. Supplied in single and double float sizes they exhibit superior stability and are infinitely configurable. Being modular they are easy to transport and allow for self assembly. Our light weight HDPE systems are well suited for the hotel and leisure markets and can be used at sites that dry out at low tides. The Versadock® floats also offer a drive on version for dry boat storage that is compatible with our other systems.
