Therefore MSI has formed a network of offices and representatives that can react quickly to clients needs as well as provide long term support. The following is the MSI Senior Management Team: Managing Director Mr Mark Truscott – Mr Truscott comes from a construction background of Building and Quantity Surveying. After many years in mining construction both in Australia and Papua New Guinea, he was asked to oversee a marina excavation and installation project in Malaysia. Some 16 years later he has developed a strong track record to match his passion for Marina Design, Construction and Management. After undertaking many marina construction projects throughout Asia and the Middle East Mr Truscott saw there was a need to work closer with the owners and developers of waterfront property in emerging recreational boating markets. This approach enables his experience to be best utilised through the whole development process ensuring the client can stream line costs as well as achieve the optimum development long term vision. Based on this belief Mr Truscott formed MSI and proceeded to assemble a dedicated team of professionals that can obtain development goals. Design Manager Mr Adrian Koch – Mr Koch has spent 30+ years as an Architect, practicing residential then moving into integrated resort developments and urban planning, becoming involved with local authorities in re-writing Town Planning regulations. In 1996 Mr Koch was invited to Thailand to develop the master plan for a comprehensive luxury villa project on a private island off the coast of Phuket, a move that led to his present day involvement with all types of marine associated architecture. With extensive master-planning experience coupled with previous involvement in marina developments Mr Koch was commissioned as project architect for the prestigious Royal Phuket Marina at its inception, a move that introduced him to Marina Systems International. That relationship has prevailed until today and now their collective experience enables MSI to offer comprehensive master planning knowledge of all types of marine & marina developments including all the infrastructure and operational requirements to create successful, functional and profitable projects. General Manager (construction) Mr Mete Izmen – Mr Izmen is responsible for the successful operations of our production facilities as well as the project management of our local and remote construction sites. Mr Izmen has a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Civil-Structural Engineering and possesses an extensive design and construction experience through many residential and industrial constructions varying from gold mine construction all the way up to high rise residential and office buildings. Since 2003 he has been solely managing and working on waterfront/marina property development in South East Asia. This background along with his management expertise ensures that all MSI projects are efficient, manageable and cost effective. Like the rest of the team, Mr Izmen is a great believer of the “win-win” concept and likes to see this philosophy being integrated into M.S.I.’s solutions tailored to our Customer's needs. Marina Management Services - Director Mr Mark Ray – Our Marina Management Services are spearheaded by Mr Ray. He has worked in the marine industry in Asia for 35 years. Starting as crew on private yachts his passion for the sea has taken him into charter work, boat building, boat repairs, boat sales and distribution, yacht insurance and marina management. Mr Ray has a BA degree in Psychology from Hendrix College and is an accomplished sailor with several first place finishes in regional regattas. As a boat distributor he was instrumental in introducing the Sea-Doo® and Riviera® brands to Asia and was a pioneer of the charter boat industry in Thailand. Prior to joining MSI Mr Ray managed the oldest yacht club in Asia, RSYC and the only 5 Gold Anchor Marina in Thailand, Royal Phuket Marina. His extensive and varied experience gives him an in-depth understanding of the industry and all of the stake holders in a marina development. Marina Management Services – Commercial Mr Barry Bailey – Mr Bailey is a qualified Mega Yacht Captain and has an extensive background in the Asian boating industry. Mr Bailey formed Maritime Consultants and Management Ltd out of Hong Kong to specialize in Yacht restorations and construction as well as overall operations management for craft 80 foot and larger. Identify and sourced all required boats and boating activities for Aman resorts resort expansion throughout the Asia-Pacific region. Sourcing of several new –build yachts as owners rep with completed total construction value of over 15 million USD. Mr Bailey headed up Asia-Pacific Operations for Sea Ray Boats Inc. of the USA as the world’s largest pleasure craft builder. With this background Mr Bailey is able to contribute strongly from the design side feasibilities of projects to the nurturing of critical industry links required for the implementation of new marina and service facility operations. Malaysia Mr Gee Boon Kee – Mr Gee is a well respected and successful businessman having run multinational companies throughout the Asian region. He became involved in recreational boating in the early '70s, having owned and sailed in dinghies, keel boats and power boats. Having participated actively in regional regattas since 1995 as well as cruised extensively in Malaysian, Thai and Cambodian water he has also been the Chairman Raja Muda Intertnational Regatta and Commodore, Royal Selangor Yacht Club. Mr Gee has an unbeatable knowledge of the regional boating potential from both a boaters and business prospective. Indonesia Mr James Blee – Known as” Jimmy”, an Australian, has been a resident in Indonesia since 1994. Brought to Indonesia by the prestigious Aman resorts group to set up & operate a fleet of vessels to service their island resort of Amanwna. Mr Blee liked the country and its potential for marine activity growth he decided to set up his own consultancy & services company in 1999.Since this time Mr Blee has been operating & running his company which specializes in all forms of marine logistics and services provision. Married to a wonderful Indonesian lady and 3 children later, Mr Blee is well established in the Indonesian community and well known through marine circles throughout the country. With existing company branch offices in the centres of Surabaya, Bali & Lombok and having operated and guided all types of vessels through the 17,000 islands of the Indonesian archipelago, Mr Blee’s contribution and experience to the MSI network is vast. With Indonesia being in its infancy of Marina development and recreational boating we see Mr Blee and his group a vital link to developing our products through this country. Singapore Mr Joel Ang – Mr Ang is both a successful local business owner and an avid recreational boater. With his ship provisioning company Bergin Marine and his strong local connections in the marine industry Mr Ang is able to ensure streamline performance for MSI operations in Singapore. China / Hong Kong - Director Mr Onder Oztunali is the director of Marina International Systems in charge of Greater China and Hong Kong. Previously he was the project coordinator in charge of development of Thailand’s Royal Phuket Marina, South East Asia’s largest residential marina project. His experience in the field ranges from project development to luxury yacht manufacturing/investments. Onder provides in depth business development acumen and experience in the region. He received his EMBA from Shanghai’s Chinese International Business Studies (CIEBS) and BS in Finance & Economics from University of Kansas. Previously he worked as investment banker with Credit Suisse First Boston in Real Estate Group in New York and Emerging Markets Group in London.
